It will provide cover for your premises/workshop against major loss such as Fire, Theft of Goods, Legal Liability for damages caused, Faulty Workmanship cover up to $30,000 aggregate limit for rectification work and the full limit of liability for resultant damage and much more;

Liability

This Section covers You or any Insured Person for amounts You become legally liable to pay as compensation for Personal Injury, Property Damage and/or Advertising Liability within Territorial Limits as a result of an Occurrence in connection with Your Business.  It also can include goods in your Physical Care and Legal Control plus Faulty Workmanship (Known as Rectification Works up to $30,000)

Business Interruption

Consequential Loss from the interruption of or interference with the Business that is caused by a Defined Event that occurs during the Period of Insurance. Cover types available:

Part A – Business Income Protection; or

Part B – Consequential Loss of Profits

Professional Indemnity

This Section covers You and any Insured Person against civil liability for Damages and awards of claimants’ costs arising from any Claim that arises from failure to provide Professional Services

Customers’ Vehicles

Accidental Damage to Customers’ Vehicles and Your legal liability arising from the use of Customers’ Vehicles while being driven by You or Your employees in the conduct of Your Business.

Commercial Motor

What usually isn’t covered?

Exclusions, the excess you need to pay and limits of liability can vary greatly depending on your insurer. Policies generally won’t include cover for:

  • Customers Vehicles unless Specified.
  • wear and tear, gradual deterioration, fading, developing flaws, scratching, marring, normal upkeep or any gradual cause;
  • Theft when entry has been made using keys or security codes.
  • Asbestos
  • Professional advice or service

CASE STUDY

Mechanic had just complete oil change and including other incidental repairs and took the customer vehicle for a testing drive.

During the test drive the mechanic heard noises coming from the motor and the vehicle started to shutter and eventually came to stop.

Upon inspection it was discovered the oil sump plug had loosen and the oil had drain from the engine over the road. The motor itself has seize and required to be repaired.

The policy responded under the public liability policy “Faulty Workmanship” and cost of repairs was $10,000.
